Welcome to the Herd. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules of Llama. By creating an account or using the Llama app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Llama.

1. Who We Are

Llama is operated by Llama Money Limited, company no. 16929526, registered in England, of Unit 14 The Boathouse Business Centre, 1 Harbour Square, Wisbech, Cambs, United Kingdom, PE13 3BH ("Llama", "we", "us"). Contact: join@llamacard.co.uk.

 

2. What Llama Is (and Is Not)

Llama is an organising tool for group money. It lets you create lobbies with your friends, record promises (pledges), confirm payments that happen outside Llama, chat with your lobby, and unlock deals and prize draws from our brand partners.

Llama is not a bank, a payment service, or an e money institution. We do not hold, transfer, or process your money. Any payments between members happen entirely outside Llama, through your own bank or payment method, directly between you and the people involved. Llama never takes possession of funds and never collects your bank or card details.

 

3. Promises Are Social, Not Debts

A "promise" recorded in a lobby is a social commitment between members. It is not a legally binding debt, a contract enforceable by Llama, or money owed to Llama. Confirmations of payment are reported by members themselves; Llama does not verify that money actually moved. Any dispute about money between members is between those members. Llama is not a party to it, does not mediate it, and is not responsible for any member failing to pay what they promised.

 

4. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to use Llama, and you must provide accurate information about yourself. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done through your account.

 

5. Your Licence to Use Llama

We grant you a limited, personal, non transferable, non exclusive, revocable licence to use the Llama app and website for your own personal, non commercial use, in line with these Terms. All rights in Llama, including the software, brand, llama, design, and content we create, belong to Llama Money Limited or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or misuse the platform. Where an app store's standard end user licence terms apply (such as Apple's standard EULA), those apply alongside these Terms.

 

6. Your Content and Lobby Visibility

You keep ownership of content you post (messages, images, lobby names). You grant us a licence to host, store, display and transmit it as needed to run Llama. Inside a lobby, activity is visible to lobby members by design: promises, confirmations, membership and chat are shared with that lobby. Do not post anything you would not want your lobby to see. Our access to messages is limited as described in our Privacy Policy.

 

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use Llama to: break the law; harass, bully, threaten or abuse anyone; post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable content; collect money for unlawful purposes; impersonate others; spam or send unsolicited promotions; interfere with the platform's security or operation; or create fake accounts or fake promises. We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful activity where we reasonably believe these Terms are being broken. 

 

8. Deals, Codes and Prize Draws

Brand deals and codes are provided by our partners and are subject to the partner's own terms, availability and expiry dates. Llama does not sell the underlying goods or services and is not responsible for a partner's products, service or availability. 

 

9. Herd Numbers and Early Access

Herd Numbers are allocated in join order for fun and community recognition. They have no monetary value, cannot be sold or transferred, and may be reallocated or removed in cases of fake accounts or abuse.

 

10. Availability and Changes

Llama is provided on an "as available" basis. We are a young platform and things will occasionally break, change, or be withdrawn. We may update, modify or discontinue features at any time, and we will give reasonable notice of material changes where we can. We may update these Terms; the effective date above shows the current version, and continued use after changes means you accept them.

 

11. Account Deletion and Termination

You can request for your account to be deleted at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or the law. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 3, 5, 6, 12 and 13) survive termination.

 

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that: Llama is not liable for money promised or owed between members; for the acts, omissions, products or services of brand partners; for losses arising from events outside our reasonable control; or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you in connection with Llama is limited to £50. Llama is a free organising tool; you use it on that basis.

 

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also rely on your local courts and consumer rights. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any draw terms, are the whole agreement between us. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
